Filld, a Mountain View, CA-based on-demand mobile refueling company, raised $3.25m in seed funding.
The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Javelin Venture Partners and a few angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its fleet, improve its mobile app, and further expand into new territories.
Founded in January 2015 by Christopher Aubuchon and come out of stealth in late April, Filld provides scheduled and on-demand refueling services directly to a vehicle.
Users can download the Filld smartphone application (http://filld.co/app), register, and order fuel to be brought directly to their car leveraging the company’s fleet of certified delivery vehicles.
