eDepoze Raises $2.8m in Seed Financing

eDepozeeDepoze, a Lawrence, Kansas-based legal software company, raised $2.8m in seed financing.

The round was led by Nova Partners with participation from existing and new investors, as well as several angel investors. In conjunction with the funding, Troy Gregory of Nova Partners will join eDepoze’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to continue expansion of its litigation software platform, grow its base of law firm and corporate legal clients, and expand its team.

Led by CEO Shawn Kennedy, eDepoze has developed a unified platform for lawyers to use in presenting and introducing electronic evidence during the litigation events following e-discovery. The company’s expanded software system will provide a cloud-based platform for attorneys to work with electronic exhibits and evidence during depositions, trials, arbitrations, witness preparation sessions, hearings, and mediations. It also will enable litigation teams to collaborate more efficiently between events.
