Wikire, a Milan, Italy-based real estate broker startup, received a strategic investment from real estate network RE/MAX Italia.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The two companies also signed a partnership under which over 200 agencies and 20,000 real estate factsheets of RE/MAX will be uploaded in Wikire, which already features Gabetti, Professionecasa and Grimaldi networks and other 2,000 agencies. In addition, an equity crowdfunding campaign will be launched to allow real estate brokers to participate in the inititative as shareholders.
Founded by Pietro Pellizzari, Wikire is an Innovative Startup (under the Italian law) that has developed a platform dedicated to real estate brokers, which operates:
– wikire.it, a multiple listing service allowing professionals to share their portfolio with other brokers or their private network and featuring tools to value real estate items and integrating current MLS and management systems, and
– wikicasa.it, a real estate platform with offerings exclusively coming from agencies and professionals.
Wikire is incubated within Milan-listed Digital Magics.
