Waynaut, a Milan, Italy-based platform for travel agencies to offer customers the best combination of means of transports, raised a new funding round of undisclosed amount.
Club Digitale made the investment. Other backers include Club Italia Investimenti 2 and Programma 101.
The company will use the funds to continue to improve the technology and expand operations.
Led by Simone Lini, CEO, Waynaut acquires data from any type of format to provide a platform that allows travel agencies, websites and apps to offer users the best mix of means of transport they need, by combining “traditional” buses, metros or taxis with “innovative” carpooling, ridesharing or carsharing services.
The company, which currently has a team of 14, has closed its first contract with a large online traver agency and is in talks with other Europe’s leading players.
