Prosper Marketplace Appoints Parker Barrile as Chief Product Officer

Prosper_Logo_smallProsper Marketplace, a San Francisco-based provider of an online marketplace for consumer credit, appointed Parker Barrile as Chief Product Officer.

Barrile will be responsible for expanding Prosper Marketplace’s product and user experience teams and managing Prosper Marketplace’s expanding product suite across web and mobile platforms.

Barrile joins the company from LinkedIn, where he was vice president of product management and led teams for several of the company’s core monetization products including Talent Solutions, Premium Subscriptions and the Payments Platform.
Prior to LinkedIn, he founded and served as the CEO of Predictify, a community-based prediction platform where members could make and vote on predictions regarding current events.
Barrile has also held roles at Google and Bain & Company.

Founded in 2005 and led by Aaron Vermut, chief executive officer, Prosper Funding owns an online marketplace for consumer credit that connects people who want to borrow money with people who want to invest money.
To date, the platform has generated more than $4 billion in personal loans.
