HelloTech Raises $12.5M in Series A Funding

hellotechHelloTech, a Los Angeles, CA-based on-demand tech support service provided by a vetted team of techs, raised $12.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Madrona Venture Group with participation from existing investors Upfront Ventures, CrossCut Ventures and Accel Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Len Jordan, managing director, Madrona Venture Group, joined HelloTech’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to expand into additional major metros.

Led by Richard Wolpert, co-founder and CEO, HelloTech provides in home tech support, advice, and sales of new smarthome technology on demand. The company screens, tests and vets their Heroes and then deploys them to homes covering more than 200 zip codes in Los Angeles. Visits are billed at $79 per hour.
The company is incubated in Amplify.LA.
