AirBnB Buys Vamo

Vamo, a Seattle, WA-based provider of a multi-city trip planning platform, has been acquired by San Francisco-based AirBnB.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

As of now, Vamo will not be accepting new registrations. For users who are in the middle of trip planning, the company will continue to accept reservations through the end of September. Starting October 1, functionality will become limited.

The company is led by Ari Steinberg, Founder & CEO.

Founded in August of 2008 and based in San Francisco, California, Airbnb operates a global community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book no-hotel accommodations around the world — online or from a mobile phone.
The company, which currently connects people to apartment, castles and villas in more than 33,000 cities and 192 countries, has satellite offices in Dublin, London, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Copenhagen, Berlin, Moscow, São Paolo, Sydney, and Singapore.
