AdsNative, a San Francisco, CA-based ad stack for publishers, closed an $8.5m Series A funding round.
Backers included Rakuten Ventures, Interwest Partners and Onset Ventures.
The company intends to use the new capital to launch AdsNative Enterprise, a platform that integrates an open ad serving technology within the framework of a publisher’s existing content management system (CMS).
Co-founded by Satish Polisetti and Dhawal Mujumdar, AdsNative provides enterprise software that allows publishers to add flexible native placements and use optimization tools. The “server-side stitching” technology included in the software addresses slow page load times and ad-blocking, by inserting ads at the CMS level rather than making a separate call for ad delivery.
AdNative Enterprise has launched with media partners Disqus, Politico and We Heart It, who reach a combined audience of over 1 billion per month.
The company has 23 employees.
