Venuu, a Helsinki, Finland-based “Airbnb for event spaces“, raised €425k in funding.
Backers included SanomaVentures, Reaktor Polte and business angels.
The company intends to use the funds to speed up international expansion, firstly in Sweden, where Venuu.se has already nearly 300 venues.
Led by CEO Jasu Koponen, Venuu connects demand and supply online of party, meeting and other event spaces. In Finland, the company currently delivers more than €1.5m worth of booking requests monthly to its 1,300+ event spaces.
