ZeroTurnaround Raises $5M in Series B Financing

zeroturnaroundZeroTurnaround, a Boston, MA-based maker of developer tools for creating software, raised $5m in Series B financing.

The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures with participation from Western Technology Investment, both existing investors.

The company, which has raised $15m to date, will use the capital to hire software development talent worldwide and continue to innovate its JRebel and XRebel products.

Founded in 2007 by Jevgeni Kabanov, CEO, ZeroTurnaround provides developers with productivity tools to build, inspect and error-proof software with less downtime. JRebel, the company’s flagship product, enables developers to make changes to class structures and resource and framework configuration files without the need to restart or redeploy the application. XRebel allows developers to improve the quality of the code they write by finding and fixing issues along the way.
ZeroTurnaround integrates with cloud infrastructure providers IBM, Red Hat, SAP and AWS to simplify development and testing in the cloud. In coming months, the company will bring it to new platforms, including Android.
