Events.com, a San Diego, CA-based event management platform that facilitates and enhances the experience of hosting and attending events, completed a funding round.
The round was led by Arctaris with participation from La Jolla Holding Co. and Moore Venture Partners.
In addition to the round, which brought total funding to over $17m, the company acquired EventsOnline, an online registration provider serving the endurance market and processing over $150 million in registrations and tickets since inception.
Led by Gregg Parise, CEO, and Greg Spillane, Chief Operating Officer, Events.com is an online marketplace combining event organizers and event participants. Its cloud-based application gives them a solution to planning and finding events.
The company has over 75 employees with headquarters in San Diego and an office in Ottawa, Canada.
Events.com has a staff to over 75 people.
