DataFox Raises $5M

datafoxDataFoxa San Francisco, CA-based advanced platform for sourcing deals, comparing groups of companies, and monitoring technology sectors, raised $5M in funding. 

Backers included Goldman Sachs and Green Visor Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Simon Yoo of Green Visor has joined DataFox’s board of directors while Rana Yared of Goldman Sachs has joined as an observer.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations. It is hiring.

Led by Mike Dorsey, Bastiaan Janmaat, Alden Timme and Ben Trombley, DataFox is a deal-sourcing and research platform covering private technology companies. The company’s platform leverages natural language processing and proprietary algorithms to synthesize and interpret information to organize information about more than 500,000 companies allowing people in sales, business development, and finance to find new prospects, compare and track groups of companies, and share new insights within teams.
DataFox has also launched DataFox For Teams and DataFox Conference Explorer.
