Clover Closes $2M Funding Round

CloverLogo-WebClover, a Toronto, Canada-based dating app, closed a $2m funding round.

The round was led by Social Starts with participation from a group of private investors. As part of the financing, Tony Wonnacott, a corporate securities lawyer, and Michael Allen, Senior Partner at Collins Barrow, one of Canada’s largest Chartered Accounting firms, will join Clover’s board of directors.

The company, which has raised $4m in total funding, plans to use the new funds to accelerate growth, expand the platform and build out the team.

Led by CEO Isaac Raichyk, Clover is a mobile on-demand dating service available which leverages a matchmaking algorithm automatically finds people nearby who want to meet users. It is available on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
