Volley, a Toronto, Ontario, Canada-based platform to ask for help and help others online, raised $500k in seed funding.
Version One Ventures made the investment.
The company intends to use the funds to grow and expand its community to other platforms.
Founded in 2014 by David Hariri, Brendan Lynch and Mike Murchison, Volley has emerged from private beta to allow people to get advice and feedback from real people who have the skills and experience to help with a problem.
On Volley, people post requests for things they need help with. Other members then reply directly to the requests or volley (refer) them to friends who are better suited to help.
