Virtual Software Systems Closes $2M Seed Funding

Virtual Software Systems (VS2), a Waltham, Mass.-based cybersecurity startup, closed a $2m round of seed funding.

Backers included Bulldog Investors, Sequel Capital Management, and a number of private investors.

The company intends to use the funds to hire additional engineers and develop partnerships to bring its solution to market later this year.

Led by CTO Richard Fiorentino and CEO John Conway, Virtual Software Systems id developing a solution that couples the economics of virtualization with a new systems approach to create a software-defined computing architecture that automatically rejects erroneous behavior caused by exploits, bugs or failures.
Its innovation is adaptable to virtually any platform, from servers to end points to the Internet of things (IoT).
