Menlo Park, California-based same-day delivery company Deliv acquired WeDeliver, a Chicago-based provider of same-day delivery for local merchants.
The financial terms of the deal weren’t announced.
With the acquisition, Deliv aims to deepen its stake in the same-day delivery market as it continues to grow and expand nationally. It currently powers same-day delivery for over 250 national retailers, including Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Williams-Sonoma, Foot Locker and others, and has partnered with the six large mall operators. Led by Daphne Carmeli, founder and CEO, Deliv currently operates in eight markets, including Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Northern New Jersey, San Francisco, San Jose,Seattle and Washington, D.C.
Launched in early 2013 by Jimmy Odom, CEO, WeDeliver provides same-day delivery services for over 100 merchants in the Chicago area. The company has partnered with some local businesses from omnichannel retailers like Trunk Club and Barneys New York to grocery stores like Plum Market as well as the Glazed and Infused Doughnuts.
