Bricoprivé.com, a Toulouse, France-based ecommerce company focused on DIY, gardening and home improvement products, received a €2.5m minority investment.
Ardian made the investment, which followed the partial exit of Bricoprivé.com’s previous minority shareholders.
The company intends to use the funds to expand in the European markets, in particular in Spain, for which it launched a dedicated website last month.
Co-founded in October 2012 by Julien Boué and Marc Leverger. Bricoprivé.com is a web site for the flash sales of discounted DIY, gardening, home, clothing, car/motorcycle and multimedia for individual customers.
The company offers, via 6 or 7 new sales per day, a wide range of products at discount prices. It has a turnover of around €30m and now has a community of 1.7 million members.
