Aruba Acquires Pop.it

pop.it-logoHosting company Aruba acquired Pop.it, a Florence, Italy-based startup focused on hosting and domain solutions and professional services for SMEs.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

The company, a part of Dotweb Srl, innovative startup backed by Nana Bianca, Programma 101 (P101) and Club Italia Investimenti 2, will help Aruba consolidate its market leadership in the hosting and domain arena.

Founded by Valerio Gioia in 2009, Pop.it offers over 400 extentions of registrable domains and WordPress, e-Commerce and email professional services. It has reached over 10.000 domains among professional and web agency-based clientele.
Following the acquisition, Valerio Gioia will be part of the Aruba team while Jarrod Fath, manager coming from the USA, will join Dotweb as CEO and will drive the industrial development of Swite.com, which allows professionals and companies to create their online presence quickly.
