Manta Instruments, a San Diego, CA-based startup developing technology for characterizing nanoparticles, raised funding from Triton Technology Fund (TTF).
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate commercialization of its scientific instruments.
Led by CEO Rick Cooper, Manta Instruments is commercializing scientific instruments that measure nanoparticles and to enable companies to have control over the development and manufacturing of those used in their products.
The original inventors of the technology are Dr. Dariusz Stramski, Dr. Kuba Tatarkiewicz, Dr. Rick Reynolds and Monette Karr.
The company is part of EvoNexus, a Southern California-based start-up incubator.
