Koolbridge Solar Raises $500K

koolbridge solarKoolbridge Solar, Inc., a Wrightsville Beach, NC-based provider of patented and patent-pending prototyped products under development for residential, commercial, and solar farms, closed a $500k funding round.

Effective immediately, the company has begun the second round equity raise of $1m to support the commercialization of its software and patented and patent pending solar products.

Led by J. Stephen Burnett, Co-Founder, Chairman, CEO, and Director, and Bill Griffin, Interim President & COO, Koolbridge Solar designs, develops and sells electrical products that allow solar energy to be integrated into homes efficiently to reduce energy bills.
The initial product is Smart Load Center™, a solar/utility energy breaker box that can automatically select the use of electrical power, circuit by circuit, from solar, the utility grid, batteries or a generator. The automatic selection of power sources uses a microcontroller to activate the dynamic switching of each breaker circuit based on availability of utility and solar power; preset user priorities, battery charge status, time of day, instantaneous consumption, historical consumption patterns and weather conditions.
