Gourmant.com, a Florence, Italy-based wine and food community and ecommerce platform, raised €470k in funding.
Backers included Programma 101 (P101) and Club Digitale.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its offerings with fruits and vegetables, open a physical store, increase its marketing efforts and grow abroad.
Co-founded in 2013 by Daniele Biffoli and Giovanni Brandini, Gourmant is an online shopping club dedicated to Italian quality wine and food. It selects high quality wine and food products from Italy and offers them via flash sales events lasting 15 days at discounted prices.
According to anote, the platform currently has 50.000 subscribers which acquire 27k products each month.
The company has been accelerated within Nanabianca, the Florence based started incubator founded by Paolo Barberis, Jacopo Marello and Alessandro Sordi.
