Chartbeat Raises $15.5M Series C Funding

chartbeatChartbeat, a NYC-based provider of real-time analytics platform, raised $15.5m Series C funding.

The round was led by Harmony Partners, with participation from current investors DFJ, Index Ventures, Jason Calacanis and Jeff Clavier and new investor Digital Garage.

The company, which has raised $31m to date, intends to use the funds to launch two new tools for publishers’ editorial and advertising teams, called Engaged Headline Testing and Engaged Ad Refresh, respectively.

Led by Tony Haile, CEO, Chartbeat provides tools that measure and monetize website visitors’ attention and engagement on page content and advertising. Its real-time analytics platform allows top publishers in the US and 50,000 media sites in over 60 countries worldwide to develop a defined loyal audience and monetize their time and attention. Chartbeat works with editorial teams to align them around the right audience development goals and give them the data they need to adapt when it matters and with advertising teams to quantify their audience’s active time and attention rather than just their clicks.
