Stanza Raises $4.3M in Seed Funding

Stanza (formerly known as SpotOn.it), a Redwood City, Calif.-based calendar startup, raised $4.3m in seed funding.

Backers included Metamorphic Ventures, Founder Collective, Tekton Ventures, Western Technology Investment, Stanford-StartX Fund and ex-NFL players Ronnie Lott and Harris Barton.

Founded by CEO Smita Saxena in 2012, Stanza has created an “Add-to-Calendar” button which has synced over 56 million sporting events to users’ personal calendars.
The company has a professional sports client base with 300+ teams across the NFL, NBA, NHL and NCAA and is now expanding the product to communities of all sizes including political campaign managers, PTA groups, college social organizations, student groups, and studios.

Compatible with any type of calendar client (Google, iCal, Outlook, Exchange, etc.), Stanza is available now for a limited pre-order for a discounted price of $7/month (vs. $15/month retail) until late Summer 2015.
