RedSeal Re-Launches with $17M in Series C Funding

readsealRedSeal, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based cybersecurity analytics platform provider, relaunched with $17m in Series C funding.

Backers included Tyco, MATH Venture Partners, Pallasite Ventures, DRW, Venrock, Sutter Hill, Icon Ventures, Leapfrog and Olympic Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to increase its engineering capabilities and expand its presence both domestically and overseas.

Led by Chairman and CEO Ray Rothrock, COO Pete Sinclair and CTO Mike Lloyd, RedSeal provides a security analytics platform that provides intelligence to protect critical network assets, and accommodates emerging Cloud and mobile technologies. Its analytics engine creates a functioning model of its network, tests the network to identify security risks, prioritizes needed actions, and gives users critical information to remediate issues.

Today, the company’s platform is in use in more than 200 finance, retail, and technology companies, utilities, service providers and government agencies.

RedSeal has operations in North America, Europe, and Asia.
