NetBase, a Mountain View, CA-based enterprise-scale social media analytics company, raised an additional $9m in Series E financing.
The round was led by new investor ORIX Ventures with participation from existing investor Thomvest Ventures. The funding was facilitated by international investment bank Houlihan Lokey.
The company, which has raised of $33m in Series E financing, intends to use the capital to accelerate its market position within the core listening and analytics space, continue developing the product and expand globally.
Led by Peter Caswell, chief executive officer, NetBase provides a social analytics platform that allows global companies to run brands, build businesses, and connect with consumers. It processes millions of social media posts daily for actionable business insights for marketing, research, customer service, sales, PR, and product innovation.
The company partners with American Airlines, Arby’s, Coca-Cola, Ogilvy, T-Mobile, Universal Music Group, Walmart, and YUM! Brands.
