Dentsu Inc. (TOKYO: 4324) (ISIN: JP3551520004) established a corporate venture capital fund with a total capital of five billion yen.
Dentsu Ventures Global Fund I will provide companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia with capital and business support to bring their innovation to the world.
With a seven-year period of operation (from April 2015 until March 2022), the fund will focus on seed and early stage investments also considering mid-stage and later-stage operations. Investment areas include innovations in the marketing and communication business in a broad sense and other segments which have a high potential for innovation.
To date, the Dentsu Group has made proactive investments in venture companies and promoted business collaboration through the Dentsu Digital Fund, a fund managed by its subsidiary Dentsu Digital Holdings Inc.
