Campus Steps, a Santa Monica, CA-based platform for students to manage their college futures, closed $3m in Series A funding.
Backers included Campus Explorer, OCA Ventures, Rincon Venture Partners and Vicente Capital.
The company, which expects to raise additional funding later this year, intends to use the funds for the development and increase marketing efforts.
Led by Mark Eastwood, Chief Executive Officer, Campus Steps provides a mobile and web college counseling platform to “step” students through every phase of their college readiness, from middle and high school course planning, to college selection, to applications and organizing finances. Following a successful beta launch in September 2014, the platform has over 50,000 student visits a month, 20,000 student subscribers and 6,300 U.S. high schools.
