Campus Job Raises $7.8M in Series A Funding

campusjobCampus Job, a New York-based online marketplace for college students to find part-time jobs and internships, raised $7.8m in Series A funding.

The round was led by General Catalyst with participation from Index Ventures, SV Angel, Slow Ventures and existing investors Box Group and Lerer Hippeau Ventures. As part of the funding, Adam Valkin, Managing Director at General Catalyst, will be joining Campus Job’s board.

The company, which has now raised $9.1m in total funding, intends to use the funds to grow the team, with a particular focus on engineering and sales.

Created by CEO Liz Wessel and JJ Fliegelman, Campus Job operates an online marketplace for college students to find part-time jobs and internships with a network of more than 125,000 students from over 2,200 universities. With job listings from a range of companies including Fortune 500s, government organizations, and startups, the platform directly matches students with best-fit companies. Students input their qualifications into a form, and then only see jobs for which they’re qualified to apply.
