WISErg Raises $11M in Series B Funding

Wiserg-logoWISErg Corporation, a Redmond, Washington-based bio-clean technology company, raised $11m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Second Avenue Partners with participation from other investors. In conjunction with the funding, Second Avenue Partners’ Pete Higgins joined former Microsoft and Amazon executive Brian Valentine, on WISErg’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to scale operations beyond Washington State, increase fertilizer production capacity, continue agricultural tests across additional crop types and soil, geographies and crop management practices, and further efforts on data analytics.

Led by CEO and founder Larry LeSueur, co-founder Jose Lugo, and newly named Vice President of Sales Chris Creighton, WISErg is a bio-clean technology company that eliminates food waste from grocery stores and restaurants by converting it into organic fertilizer. The company utilizes a patent-pending, oxidative conversion technology to intercept nutrients from food before they become waste.
