Santa Monica, CA-based venture capital firm Upfront Ventures has launched an opportunity fund.
According to a document filed with the S.E.C., Upfront Opportunity Fund I, L.P. is seeking to raise $100m.
Led by Mark Suster, Upfront recently closed its $280m fifth fund investing in Series Seed and A rounds of tech startups (read here).
The opportunity fund is usually aimed at complementing core funds and allow the vc firm to continue to invest in established and successful companies and respond to attractive opportunities as the market continues to evolve.
