Thirstie Secures $1.1M Seed Funding

thirstieThirstie, a NYC-based on-demand wine and spirits delivery service, secured an additional $1.1m seed funding round.

Backers included Rakesh Gupta, CEO of KiwiTech, Managing Director of KiwiVentures.

The company intends to use the funds to launch its service in additional markets, speed customer acquisition, enhance product development, and provide more support.

Led by CEO and Founder Devaraj Southworth and newly appointed Director of National Expansion Seth Weiss, Thirstie provides an on-demand wine and spirits delivery service. The company has partnered with more than 100 liquor retailers in major cities across the U.S. including; Los Angeles; Miami; New York City; San Francisco; Hoboken and Jersey City, New Jersey; Washington D.C., New Haven, CT; Dallas/Fort Worth, and (starting today) in Austin, Texas. Future market expansion plans include launches in Denver; Houston; Oakland/Berkeley; and Norwich, Connecticut, in the coming weeks.
