New venture capital firm Stark Ventures is raising its first fund focused on investing in Italian startups.
Co-founded by Franco Bernabè, former CEO Eni and former President of Telecom Italia, Cesare Sironi and Marco Grillo, the firm will invest in Robotics/Internet-of-Things, Entreprise Innovation (“Big Data”) and Financial Information tech startups.
Stark Ventures aims to reach its first close at €40m and then raise further funds. It has already received €15m from fund of funds Fondo Italiano d’Investmento to be matched by private resources.
The firm is based in Milan.
