Skycure Closes $8M Series A Funding Round

Skycure-logoSkycure, a Palo Alto, CA- and Tel Aviv, Israel-based provider of mobile threat defense (MTD) solutions, closed an $8m Series A funding round.

The round was led by Shasta Ventures, with participation from Skycure customer New York Life Insurance Company, Pitango Venture Capital, Peter McKay and Michael Weider. In conjunction with the funding, Pitango co-founder, Rami Kalish, and former CEO of Zenprise, Jayaram Bhat, will join Skycure’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to grow its sales and marketing efforts and invest further in R&D, including hiring in the US and Israel.

Co-founded by Adi Sharabani, CEO, and and Yair Amit, Skycure provides a mobile threat defense platform that leverages crowd knowledge to proactively identify threats and secure mobile devices.
The company has also added Varun Kohli as vice president of marketing and Daniel Kandel as R&D head.
