Feetz Closes $1.25M Seed Funding

Feetz-LogoFeetz, a Chattanooga, TN-based digital cobbler making customizable footwear using 3D printing, closed a $1.25m seed funding round.

The round was led by Khosla Ventures with participation from the JumpFund (Chattanooga, TN) and Uli Becker, former CEO of Reebok who has also joined Feetz’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to launch the platform directly to customers later this year via its micro-manufacturing center in Chattanooga, TN.

Founded in December 2013 by Lucy Beard, CEO, Feetz has developed a proprietary full stack technology platform that combines manufacturing and responsive materials with customizable biomechanics software. Customers create their perfect size at home in minutes by using the Feetz App to get a 3D scan of their feet using one piece of paper and three photos of each foot. They select the design and colors, then Feetz uses the foot data to create custom fit, tailor-made shoes delivered within 7 days.
