21 Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based digital currency startup, raised $116m in seed funding.
Backers included Data Collective, Khosla Ventures, Yuan Capital, RRE Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz.
Co-founded by President and CEO Matthew Pauker and Balaji S. Srinivasan and formerly known as 21E6, 21 Inc is in stealth mode and has not publicly reveal the nature of its operations.
It is known that the company is building software and hardware products designed to bring mainstream adoption of bitcoin.
