TuneGO Raises $1.2M in Funding

TuneGO, a Las Vegas-based music discovery platform, raised $1.2m in funding.

The round includes investments from serial entrepreneur Chris Murray and Pasadena Angel investor, Kenny Kam.

In development since late 2013 and set for nationwide launch in Q1 2015, TuneGO eliminates historical barriers to entry in the music industry by enabling artists to get music in front of fans and, connect with industry executives to secure licensing and distribution of their music. It offers a cloud-based career development platform featuring tools, personalized services and educational resources to advance the careers of musicians.
Led by John Kohl, co-founder and CEO, the company also announced new distribution partners, including Spotify, Slacker and APM Music; and the addition of producers and songwriters on the platform.
Its production team includes Ron Dante, Desmond Child, Peter Asher, and John ‘Jellybean’ Benitez.
