Pereg Ventures LLC, a New York-based early-stage venture capital firm, has launched its first fund.
Pereg Ventures Fund I primarily provides Series A and B financing to ventures delivering innovative market intelligence and analytics solutions for consumer-driven corporations.
The firm, which operates in the United States and Israel, is led by Itzhak Fisher, Chairman and General Partner, Ziv Ben-Barouch, Claudia Iannazzo and Mark Leiter, General Partners.
Although Pereg is a fully independent venture capital firm, Nielsen (NYSE: NLSN), the global information services company, is providing a significant strategic investment in support of the fund’s launch. This effort is part of a broader portfolio of innovation initiatives including Nielsen Innovate, an incubator that nurtures firms near their inception. The corporation offers Pereg Ventures-backed entrepreneurs distinctive access to corporations and information assets that span the media, telecommunications, consumer packaged goods and retailing industries. Fisher concurrently serves on the Board of Directors of Nielsen Innovate.
