High Fidelity Raises Additional $11M in Funding

high-fidelityHigh Fidelity, a San Francisco, CA-based open source software for shared virtual reality, raised an additional $11m in funding.

The round was led by Vulcan Capital with participation from other new and existing investors.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the team adding engineering, design, and content development talent (read here) to continue to develop and release its software.

Founded by Philip Rosedale, High Fidelity is advancing open source software to build complex Virtual Reality interactive experiences using standard formats, tools and languages.
