Google Acquires Odysee

Odysee, a provider of an iOS and Android app for private photo & video backup and sharing, has been acquired by Google (GOOG).

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

According to an announcement of its site, The Odysee team will be joining the Google+ Team while the service will continue until Feb 23rd.

Developed by San Jose, CA-based Nimbuz, which was co-founded by Raghavan Menon and Shiva Javalagi, Odysee provides a cross platform camera roll, built over distributed storage. It allows users to archive memories on storage and have and share them on all their devices, without filling up their phones.
