Crosslink Capital Closes Seventh Venture Capital Fund at $170M

San Francisco-based Crosslink Capital closed its seventh venture capital fund with $170m of capital commitments.

Ventures Fund VII, which includes support from both new and existing investors, will continue to invest in seed and Series A round of early stage software, mobile, consumer startups that are pioneering innovation in cloud computing, infrastructure, security, and Software-as-a-Service technologies.

Led by General Partners Eric Chin, Jim Feuille, David Silverman, and Michael Stark, Crosslink collaborates with micro-VC funds to identify emerging investment areas and opportunities.

Established in 1989, the firm has supported more than 50 portfolio companies through mergers and acquisitions or IPOs, and has seen several exits, including Ancestry.com, Bizo, Bleacher Report, BlueArc, Equinix, Omniture, Pandora, Sea Micro and TiVo.
With more than $1.6 billion under management, Crosslink made more than 20 new investments in 2014 including Casper, Chime, DataStax, Hired.com, Jack Erwin, Postmates, Personal Capital, Scripted, ServiceMax, True&Co, Visual.ly and Vungle.
