Better Walk Closes $450K Series A Funding

BetterWalkFullBetter Walk, an Atlanta, GA-based medical device company, closed a $450k Series A round of funding.

The round was led by MB Venture Partners, a Memphis-based venture capital firm. In conjunction with the funding, Gary Stevenson, co-founder and Managing Partner, will join Better Walk’s board of directors.

The company, which has now raised $600k in total, intends to use the funds to continue manufacturing and distributing the Better Walk Crutch.

Founded in May 2013 by Partha Unnava, CEO, Better Walk is advancing and to launch the Better Walk Crutch, which represents an alternative to traditional underarm or forearm crutches that removes force from the user’s underarm area and distributes it along the user’s body.
Since founding, the company has focused on developing the product and is gearing up for a launch this spring.
