Applicaster Raises $10.5M in Series B Funding

applicaster-logo-1Applicaster, a global provider of Cross-Screen TV apps, raised $10.5M in Series B funding.

The round was led by Pitango Venture Capital with participation from current investor 83North (Formerly Greylock IL). In conjunction with the funding, Isaac Hillel, Managing General Partner, Pitango Venture Capital, joined Applicaster’s Board of Directors.

The company, which brought total funding to date to $18.5m, intends to use the funds for global expansion and establishing European and North American offices.

Led by Jonathan Laor, CEO, Applicaster provides broadcast solutions for cross-screen TV experiences spanning news, sports, entertainment, kids programming and scripted shows. Its solutions include live and on-demand TV, CrossMates digital format, second screen, synchronized and social TV experiences, and apps that support any business model, as well as management and analytic tools.
To date, the company has launched over 100 applications for over 40 customers around the world including Univision, Endemol, FremantleMedia, Talpa, Mediaset, Televisa, Telefe, Fox Intl, Mediacorp, and more.

Applicaster employs over 80 individuals in its offices in Tel Aviv, New York, London and Singapore.
