Aligned Partners, a Menlo Park, California-based early-stage venture capital firm, closed its second fund at $50m.
Aligned Partners Fund II will focus on investing in startups following a capital-efficient model that aligns the interests of investors and entrepreneurs by providing a level of investment that does not over-burden companies.
Led by Susan Mason and Jodi Sherman Jahic, Aligned Partners will continue targeting enterprise-oriented technology companies with initial customer traction seeking $1m to $3m dollars in an initial round and less than $10m in total investment prior to exit.
Aligned Partners Fund I invested in innovative companies including SA Ignite, the provider of Pay-for-Performance solutions for Electronic Health Record (EHR) usage, Zumigo, which addresses fraud protection in the financial services sector, and Vorstack, a threat intelligence platform for enterprise security.
Fund II will invest in similar companies, with an emphasis on startups that add value to business enterprises through mobile and cloud computing solutions.
