Buddytruk Completes $570K Second Seed Funding

buddytrukBuddytruk Inc., a Santa Monica, CA-based provider of a mobile app that connects users with a local driver for on-demand moving and delivery service, completed a $570K second seed funding round.

The round was led by Zack Schuler, the founder and former CEO of Cal Net Technology Group. who was named Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of the company, with participation from Zalmi Duchman (Founder of The Fresh Diet), David Schottenstein (Founder of Astor and Black, Forbes 30 under 30), DRH Investments, and Matt Toledo (Publisher and CEO of Los Angeles Business Journal).

Led by CEO Brian Foley, Buddytruk is known as “the Uber of bulky item moving and delivery”. Available on the App store, it provides an on-demand moving hauling application that connects people who have moving, hauling, delivery, or courier needs with a local driver to help them do the job. It went live in Los Angeles in Summer 2014.
