Pinnatta Raises $1.2M in Funding

Pinnatta - Interactive engagement at its bestPinnatta, a Sunnyvale, California-based developer of an interactive multimedia app, raised an additional $1.2m in funding.

Backers included Odyssey Venture Partners, PJ Tech Catalyst, Lebara, Andrew Wright and Hirokazu Mashita.

The company, which has raised $3.7m to date, intends to use the funds to bring Pinnatta to more regions and more devices like the iPad in the in 2015 and hire new people.

Led by George Spanoudakis, co-founder and CEO, Pinnatta is a mobile messaging platform that allows people to exchange personalized, interactive messages with each other – providing the same experience as receiving a card in the mail (on their smartphones). It offers a library of more than 500 interactive cards, personalized videos and customized messages. In order to experience the message, recipients can touch, rub, shake, swipe, pinch, or blow on their phones.

Pinnatta is available now for free on iPhone, Android and Amazon devices and is to be released for Windows and iPad platforms in 2015.
