LaunchKey, a Las Vegas-based provider of a decentralized mobile authentication and authorization platform built for the post-password and Internet of Things era, closed a $3m in seed funding.
The round was led by Metamorphic Ventures with participation from ENIAC Ventures, Crosslink Capital, Pantera Capital, Rimrock Venture Partners, VegasTechFund, and others.
The company, which has now raised $4m to date, will use the new funding to expand its team and bring LaunchKey to market in 2015.
Founded in 2012 by CEO Sanders, Chief Technology Officer Devin Egan and Director of Engineering Yo Sub Kwon, LaunchKey provides an authentication and authorization platform that allows users, customers and employees to use their mobile devices for password-less login, multi-factor authentication, real-time authorization, identity verification, biometric authentication, physical access control,all through one platform. It also offers a REST API and suite of developer tools to secure virtually any online or offline application such as websites, mobile apps, kiosks, vehicles, industrial control systems, physical access control systems, smart locks, etc.
