Showpad Raises $8.5M in Series B Funding

showpadShowpad, a Ghent, Belgium-based provider of a mobile sales acceleration platform, raised $8.5m in Series B funding.

The round was led by Dawn Capital with participation from existing investor Hummingbird Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Teddie Wardi from Dawn Capital will join Showpad’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to grow sales and marketing efforts.

Founded in 2011 by Pieterjan Bouten, Louis Jonckheere and Peter Minne, Showpad provides a mobile sales acceleration platform for tablet, smartphone and PC that aims to increase the productivity of sales, whilst providing marketing-relevant data on sales interactions.

The company reports annual recurring revenues of $4.5M, has 50 employees and over 500 paying customers, with 50,000 sales professionals on the platform.

Showpad, which also has offices in San Francisco, has more than 500 customers in over 40 countries, including Intel, BASF and Audi.
