Meekan Raises $870K in Seed Funding

logo-meekanMeekan, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based startup developing a platform that connects the world’s calendars, raised $870k in seed funding.

It included $750k from Horizons Ventures and $120k from private investors.

The company intends to use the funds to develop a portfolio of products based on its patent-pending technology, as well as expand its R&D and sales workforce.

Founded in 2013 by Lior and Eyal Yavor, and Matty Mariansky, Meekan is a cross-vendor calendar scheduling platform which enables users to share free/busy times and availability options with everyone, on any calendar (Google, Exchange, iCloud, etc). The company has developed predictive, AI-like technologies which enable the user to optimize their calendar automatically.
It released a beta version of its iOS app for iPhone and iPad and an API for 3rd party developers and online booking services (http://playground.meekan.com). An Android app and an Outlook plugin will be available soon along with an enterprise product for businesses running on Microsoft Exchange.
