Maple Leaf Angels Corporation, created Maple Leaf Angels Capital Corporation and launched an angel investment fund.
MLA48 will provide promising young companies in the information, communication and entertainment sector in southern Ontario with early stage financing, coaching and mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to follow-on funding from the Maple Leaf Angels network.
The fund will also allow accredited investors that are members of Maple Leaf Angels Corporation to participate in a portfolio of early stage investment opportunities.
It is targeted to close by the end of calendar 2014 with the first investments occurring in early 2015.
