Cloud9, a San Francisco, CA- and Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based provider of a development platform, raised an undisclosed amount of Series B equity funding.
Balderton Capital made the investment. In conjunction with the funding, Suranga Chandratillake, Partner at Balderton Capital, joined Cloud9’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to improve the platform, add UI looks and feels, and open up to 3rd party developers.
Founded 2010 by CEO Ruben Daniels, Cloud9 provides a cloud-based development environment that allows users to code and collaborate with peers. The company, which is also backed by Accel Partners and Atlassian, is currently hiring.
